Yesterday, ActiveRain member Richard Weisser wrote a post about the beauty of everyday nature. His eloquent words prompted me to go through some of my old photos. Photos that capture what often goes by unnoticed. Scenes that we far to often do not see or take for granted...

Helping YOU Live YOUR American Dream...

My friend... you are in the wrong business. That is a professional image if I've ever seen one. What was your lighting setup? Amazing.
Jesse, Thanks for the words of encouragement. I used natural lighting and manual settings on my DSLR. This was done with a 101mm macro f~2.8 @ 30 shutter speed... I bracketed using different speeds and this one came out the best. Hope this helps.
Thanks for sharing your photographs. Watch for black cats today. Have a great day and a special weekend.
Michael,
There are so many talented people here in AR and I agree with Jesse, I think that you are in the wrong business. Have you taken photography classes or do you recommend doing something like that.
I don't know if you can see me or not, but I just did the "I'm not worthy" arm motions to you :-) You my friend are an incredible photographer!
Michael, that's a really nice shot. I've got to get my hands on a macro again.
Hi Michael:
What a fantastic photo!
It almost doesn't look real....
I need to get a better digital camera!!!
Michael,
Dang it looks like the CG movies my kids watch! very beautiful!
Michael-
Truly agree, you should have a show of your photos. Unbelievably fantastic!
Are you sure you didn't take that pic in the land of Oz?
Awesome photo!! Got any more to share?
Michael...
This is a gorgeous shot ... so well composed and lit! I love these photos of everyday stuff, they are so interesting. Thanks for the mention, I really appreciate it!
Wow! Thanks for sharing the awesome picture. It reminds me that too much is taken for granted in life.

Debi
OK, which issue of National Geographic did you get that photo from?!!!
That's an amazing photo Michael and definitely National Geographic worthy.
Michael - That is a very unusual and stunning photo. What kind of camera are you using?
MICHAEL..How enchanting..Looks like it belongs in a storybook
Michael we tune in everyday just to see your beautiful photographs. Ceil laughed when she was reading all your photography lingo above. She says that is why we have an Easyshare shoot and go camera.
That is one fantastic picture, Michael. It looks like something out of a Disney animation production! Absolutely beautiful.
Wow, Michael, this is so spectacular, it looks like a computer generated movie still shot! WOW! SO NEAT! Great eye, and great use of shutter speed to get this unique look! WOWWOWWOW!
Michael - That's pretty unusual. The light has to be perfect, and those thinks have to cooperate. I don't think I have the patients for it.
Michael, I am so glad I dropped acid by...that is the most awesome of pictures-jsimply beautiful!!!
I had to come back to look at this photo again, Michael. Simply incredible.

Michael, Like Jesse, I think you're in the wrong business! My sellers wish I had your photography skills! And, this one is one that has never been seen--definitely NOT taken for granted!
Have a wonderful weekend...
Debe, Thanks for the comment and double take. I strive to be a purist in my photography, but I will admit that I did 'enhance' the green a smidge using PhotoShop. Had I been using slide film, I would have used a filter...
Helping you live your American dream...
Michael,
I wss just out today, visiting BC, and a fellow was out cutting some great mushrooms. He said they were edible.
Michael, that is a beautiful photo, and yes, definitely worthy of Natl Geographic. The lighting brings out all those little details in the buds opening up. Thanks for sharing and have a great day.
Michael this is a lovely photo of things we often overlooked. It was just last night I was signed on to Flickr and was enjoying photographs of all types of fungi.
wow! gorgeous photo.
Michael, awesome photo. The lighting and composition are just perfect
There's something almost magical about this photo. I need to remember to bracket my shots once in awhile. Nice pic, Michael!
When did you start shooting for National Geographic? - this is an amazing shot...thanks for sharing
The photo looks great! The details and the light make the photo. Great Work.
Michael - You're making me want to upgrade my camera but alas, it will have to wait 'till next year. Excellent photo!
Hi Michael, This is a stunning photo story about our often missed opportunities to appreciate the multitude of micro views of our world. With life being more busy today in the amount of new learning required to stay current in our world, we are often forced by time limitations to look to the macro side of life when the real treasures are so often unobserved. Well done and beautifully captured.
