(not so) Speechless Sundae...
Ah-h-h-h snow. Something we have but seen a dusting of in this winter that wasn't. To me, snow is Mother Nature's blanket. It can be beautiful to look at while it covers the ground with its soft, velvety layer of white. It has the ability to transform our colorful world in to shades devoid of color. Scenes take on shades of gray that often add mystery and mystique to our lives...
Below is the Cal Turner farm with the WSM tower in the background. Sadly, the barn, having been severely damaged in a spring storm, is no more. Only the silo remains...

Snow...what's that??? We haven't had much this winter! Thanks for the reminder.
Waking up to a fresh snow was a beautiful site-especially on the mountains when I was on a ski vacation! Enjoy it Mike.
Good morning, All. I don't want to convey the idea that this is what I woke up to this morning. This photo was taken a few years ago. I was thinking about the farm doesn't look the same without the barn...
I can only imagine how different the farm looks without the barn..............and the snow Michael.
Good morning Michael; Any spring the follows a winter devoid of snow will not be as pretty as one that had a fair amount of snow. Snow helps to protect plants from drying out from the harsh winter sun.
I hope we get some snow soon.
Michael, it is a shame when that happens ...on my old property with a 1820 barn with a tree trunk to support one of the sides of the barn (open & raised end) was torn down last year...unfortunately I can't find the picture i took of it . Great share.
Good Morning Michael, Seeing the barn in the past must be a disappointment now that it's gone...it's true that the farm with only the silo left must not look the same anymore...oh well that's mother nature!
For us in INdy....no snow this week has been instrumental with so many people in town for the game. I'm sure Mother Nature will be back in full force next week!
Like the photo with the snow but sorry to hear the barn is no more! May you enjoy your day and may your favorite team win this evening!
Looks pretty serene! Can't wait to get back to Durango. I hope there is still snow on the ground when we get back.
Hi Michael, Thanks for sharing this photo! Enjoyed the post, have a great Sunday.
Been the same up this way this winter. I don't miss the snow.
Hi Michael - We have had a bit of snow in the Toronto area this year but not much. Feels like spring already.
Good morning Michael. Wonderful photo and comments. No snow in my neck of the woods since a freak storm in October. I love the blanket analogy. Have a great day.
The best photos of piles of snow are from the past Michael.
Michael - the farm is still a great looking place, even without the barn. The homes on the farm really remind me of the way it must have been when horses were the main transportation on Franklin road.
Michael- this looks so peaceful, I don't know how cold it is but that would be worth bundling up and going outside.
Good Sunday morning.
Thanks for sharing your photograph. We just had a dusting of snow last night in Maryland. This time last year, we had deep snow.
Have an outstanding week!
Hi Michael....what is that white stuff...ha. We had some one night about two weeks ago, all gone again
Cheers
Snow hides so much and gives everything that clean sheet look. Then sometimes when it starts to melt and the slush and mud show up everywhere, it's the exact opposite. Lovely photo.
Michael ...You can't beat a barn with snowfall ....they just seen to go together so well!
